Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients on the orthopedics unit at Mercy Hospital South. Maintain professional accountability for care provision and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while performing duties consistent with mission, values, and service standards. Requires a current Missouri RN license, an accredited nursing degree (BSN preferred), and experience in a hospital setting. Full-time day shift coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
Desired Qualifications
- Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
