Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients at Mercy Hospital South's Orthopedics unit while maintaining professional accountability. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments and evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Perform duties consistent with mission, values, and service standards, including prolonged standing, walking, and physical movements required for nursing tasks. This role offers a full-time schedule of 36 hours per week during day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Sign-on bonuses range from $5,000 to $10,000 based on experience, and the team enjoys comprehensive benefits including tuition support and loan assistance programs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience

- Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
