Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) administers resident care under supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or physician to maintain high-quality resident care. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments as prescribed, completing care documentation, following Brookhaven policies and procedures, ensuring infection control and safety practices, evaluating residents and reporting abnormal findings, and communicating effectively with residents, staff, and visitors. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, current LPN license with the State Board of Nursing, CPR certification, ability to read/write English, and the capacity to supervise personnel as needed. Performs within scope of practice per State Board of Nursing and participates in required in-service education.
