Job Summary
Determine donor eligibility through informed consent, medical history interviews, and physical examinations while managing adverse events and reviewing laboratory test results. Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs, coordinate emergency transport, and notify donors of unsuitable findings. Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs, manage employee incidents, and serve as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized. Report to the Plasma Center Manager and Center Physician for operational and medical guidance. Located in Bronx, NY, this full-time role offers an hourly wage of $32.00–$44.00.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent to including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: LPN or LVN
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
- Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy
- Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
