Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Behavioral Health Services for Acute Geri Unit. Responsibilities include collecting data and updating plans of care, administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient condition, documenting care, ensuring infection control, communicating with the health care team, prioritizing crises, participating in CQI activities, orienting staff, and utilizing the hospital computer system. Requires NJ LPN license, completion of Progressive Care Orientation, and BLS certification; IV certification preferred. Salary is in the posted hourly range with evening shift differentials. Education requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program. On-site at Paramus, NJ with full-time evening schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Current NJ license as an LPN
- Successful completion of Progressive Care Orientation Program
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
- IV certification preferred
- Clinical nursing skills appropriate for an LPN
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position
- Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing or equivalent education as described by state education law is required
