Job Summary
Schedule individuals for crisis and assessment services, triage emergent medical and psychiatric problems, and perform clinical intakes. Coordinate with providers to ensure continuity of care, complete documentation for state and accreditation standards, and manage electronic medical records including Medicaid and Medicare status. Administer psychotropic medication injections at the clinic, educate individuals on medication, and engage with drug company representatives. Mail correspondence to recipients and providers, attend required meetings and training, and comply with all agency policies and emergency procedures. Driving and travel may be required. This PRN position offers flexible weekly hours with a minimum pay of $23.00.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Associate's degree in Nursing
- Valid Driver's License (USA)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - State Board of Nursing
- 1 year experience working with children/adolescents with a mental health diagnosis and/or substance use disorder
- Psychiatric Nursing Experience
- Knowledge of emergency procedures
- Ability to deal effectively with a variety of people, which includes individuals requesting services, staff, providers, and the public
- Ability to schedule individuals for crisis and assessment services and triage individuals who present with emergent medical and/or psychiatric problems
- Ability to perform clinical intakes with individuals requesting services
- Ability to coordinate with screening/referral and individuals to ensure continuity of care
- Ability to complete documentation required to ensure that the medical record for crisis and assessment services meets state and accreditation standards
- Ability to engage with drug company representatives who supply samples or coupons
- Ability to input electronic medical record documentation, including checking for Medicaid, IPRS, and Medicare status
- Ability to mail correspondence to individuals receiving services and the provider community
- Ability to attend and actively participate in meetings and training as required
- Ability to maintain certification in all agency, state and federal training requirements
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures, as well as service definitions related to specific program areas
- Ability to assist in crisis situations
- Ability to drive and travel
