Licensed Practical Nurse LPN

Deliver nursing care under RN and physician supervision by assessing physical, psychological, and social needs of patients on a 44-bed surgical ortho neuro unit. Implement delegated interventions based on care plans and medical orders while documenting observations, progress, and patient responses in compliance with state scope of practice. Contribute to discharge planning and coordinate admission processes, communicating status to families, insurance companies, and interdisciplinary team members. Report patient conditions and changes to the supervising nurse or physician promptly. Prioritize data from multiple sources in a fast-paced environment to support quality care for assigned patients.
