Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Job Summary
Utilize established triage protocols to evaluate patient needs based on signs, symptoms, and lab results, then obtain direction from RNs or providers to recommend clinical courses of action. Accurately document assessments, advice, and responses in the electronic medical record while pulling and adding lab and imaging results. Assist with medication refill requests following provider-approved protocols and perform phlebotomy where permitted. Provide patient education on follow-ups, medications, and therapies, and reinforce provider-directed instructions. Work Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM at the NEPA GYN care center in Pittston, PA. Requires an active state LPN license, CPR certification, and minimum one year of recent LPN experience.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited nursing program
- Active state LPN license
- CPR Certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience working as an LPN in a medical facility/office
- Ability to work flexible schedule
- Ability to travel to satellite location(s), where applicable, as needed
- Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
- Strong attention to detail
- Critical thinking skills
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Desired Qualifications
- eClinicalWorks (EMR) experience
- Knowledge of specific lab order sets
- Knowledge of CPT coding
- Experience preferably in OB/GYN
