Job Summary
LPN - Newport, OR in a long-term care setting. Responsibilities include completing required record keeping for admissions/transfers/discharges, coordinating with nursing staff to plan shifts and services, administering medications and reviewing medication cards, reviewing and updating resident care plans, developing and implementing programs and procedures for quality care, providing leadership and daily unit rounds to ensure care aligns with resident care plans, building rapport with residents, families, and staff, and participating in facility surveys. Requires a nursing degree from an accredited college/university and an active LPN license in Oregon, with knowledge of nursing practices, regulations, EMR usage, and HIPAA compliance. Avamere offers a comprehensive benefits package and notes this position is covered by SEIU 503.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN in this state
- Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities
- Must chart nurses’ notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to the resident and resident’s response to care
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records and computer documentation systems
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
