Job Summary
Supervise nursing staff and manage units in the absence of the Director, ensuring quality care and daily work assignments are completed. Administer personal hygienic, preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitation services to residents while assisting nurses with medication administration, treatments, and family communication. Round with physicians to share care information, transcribe orders, and monitor fax communications to ensure prompt signing. Maintain weekly charting for skilled nursing residents, keep units clean and hazard-free, and anticipate resident needs to provide appropriate interventions. Orient new admissions and attend supervisory meetings. Requires a current Ohio LPN license, CPR certification, and familiarity with state regulations. Part-time 6p-6a shift.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing
- Currently licensed/registered with the Ohio State Board of Nursing to practice
- Must be or become familiar with organization, functions, policies and procedures and state regulations as they relate to nursing services and Assisted Living rules
- Must be committed to the standards of gerontological nursing
- Licensed to administer medications according to state laws
- Have current CPR certification
