Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Coordinate and provide nursing care for residents, document conditions and needs, and accurately implement physicians' orders. Administer medications and treatments, supervise junior staff and CNAs, and assign nursing care based on resident capabilities. Ensure supplies are maintained economically, coordinate therapy and procedures, and participate in orientation and in-service training. Interview applicants, recommend hires, and handle counseling and disciplinary actions within state practice act limits. Maintain unit inventory, communicate with housekeeping and dietary staff, and react decisively in emergencies.
