Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) coordinates and provides nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting and supervises clinical staff, including CNAs. Responsibilities include documenting residents’ conditions, implementing physicians’ orders, assigning nursing care, administering medications, and coordinating care with therapy and procedures. Requires an LPN license in the employed state and CPR certification; one year of nursing experience is preferred. Strong teamwork, communication, and ability to react decisively in emergencies are essential. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited LPN/LVN school of nursing
- Valid LPN/LVN license in the state employed
- Valid CPR certification
- One year experience in nursing preferred
- Documents resident’s condition and nursing needs
- Administers medications and performs treatments as required by regulations
- Supervises nursing staff and CNAs
- Participates in orientation and in-service training
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and families
