Job Summary
Perform and document assessments appropriate to licensure, ensuring health history and admission processes are completed while identifying discharge planning and education needs. Provide patient care and personal care services, communicate patient progress, and adjust workload as necessary. Assist registered nurses in identifying patient needs and priorities, contribute to care plan evaluations by recording patient responses, and modify plans in collaboration with licensed practitioners. Identify early warning signs of patient condition changes and report symptoms promptly. Implement nursing interventions and prescribed medical regimens accurately, collaborate with multidisciplinary team members for continuity of care, and participate in approved health education.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse | North Dakota Board of Nursing (NDBON) or Compact State Agreement | Prior to Start Date
- Basic Life Support (BLS) | American Heart Association (AHA)| Within 90 days of Start Date
- Learning Management System IV Certification Course | Multiple Issuers | Within 6 months of Start Date
- Employee Provides HR a Copy
- LPN program must be board-approved associate degree that includes intravenous therapy in the curriculum OR Must successfully complete ND Board of Nursing approved intravenous therapy (IV) course within 6 months of hire
- Temporary LPN license accepted prior to start
- Must hold an unencumbered nursing license prior to start
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
