Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct care to residents in an ALF/SCALF setting per care plans and nursing standards. Responsible for admit/transfer/discharge, regular resident assessments, supervising Nursing/Resident Care Assistants, documenting nursing notes, transcribing physician orders, administering medications, and completing shift-appropriate nursing duties. Requires Alabama LPN license and CPR within 30 days; evening or night shifts with every-other-weekend schedule and part-time status. Emphasis on communication with physicians, residents, families, and nursing staff, adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed as an LPN by the State of Alabama
- One (1) year experience in a health care facility preferred
- CPR certification within thirty (30) days of employment
Desired Qualifications
- One year healthcare facility experience (preferred)
- CPR certification (within 30 days of employment)
- Alabama LPN license (active)
