Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsible for supervising and monitoring nursing staff to deliver high-quality care in an assisted living/independent living facility. Duties include supervising HHAs and CNAs, performing daily rounds, observing and reporting patient conditions to the Director of Wellness/RN/Physician, administering medications and treatments per doctor’s orders, coordinating supplies and equipment, ensuring proper nursing documentation (vital signs, weights, nurse’s notes, kardex), guiding new staff, conducting admissions/discharges, maintaining cleanliness of the nurse’s station and med room, promoting professional interactions with residents and staff, and performing additional duties as requested by leadership. Requires licensure, completion of an accredited nursing program, geriatric experience, strong communication and organizational skills, ability to lift up to 60 lbs, CPR certification (or within 90 days), and professional, empathetic patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program
- currently licensed to practice per state
- CPR certified, or obtained within 90 days of hire and yearly thereafter
