Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role at Sonata Coconut Creek (AgeWell Solvere Living) in Coconut Creek, FL. Responsible for carrying out the Director of Wellness's instructions, supervising HHAs and CNAs and facility staff, performing daily rounds on Assisted Living and, if needed, memory-care residents, observing and reporting symptoms to the DOW/RN/ED, administering medications and treatments per physician orders, coordinating supplies/equipment, supervising nursing care to ensure safety and quality, guiding nursing assistants, facilitating admissions and discharges, maintaining nurse’s station and documentation, and orienting new staff. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and active state licensure; geriatric experience, strong communication, ability to lift up to 60 lbs, CPR certification (or obtained within 90 days), professional demeanor, and empathetic attitude toward seniors.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program
- Currently licensed to practice per state
- Work experience in the geriatric field
- Ability to communicate well, both written and verbal
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to 60lbs
- Strong organizational skills
- Punctual and regular in attendance
- Professional appearance and empathetic attitude towards seniors
- CPR certification or obtained within 90 days of hire and yearly thereafter
