Job Summary
Delivers safe and efficient care to patients using nursing interventions and assists with patient care at the direction of a Registered Nurse, Licensed Physician, or Advanced Practice Nurse. Implements the plan of care by providing direct basic nursing care in accordance with the LPN scope of practice and performs phlebotomy services. Administers ordered medications and treatments within scope of care while using appropriate medical equipment as needed. Contributes to the plan of care with input from the patient, family, and other healthcare team members. Performs general clinical and clerical duties associated with direct and indirect patient care. Requires current state licensure as an LPN, one year of clinical patient care experience, and completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) training. Scheduled weekly hours are 24 work shifts at nights.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure as an LPN or LPN applicant (Licensed Practical Nurse)
- Completion of an accredited LPN (Licensed Practical Nursing) Program
- High School Degree or GED
- One year of clinical patient care experience (e.g., PCT, CNA, LPN) in an acute care setting, long-term care facility, or physician practice
Desired Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
- Experience in an acute care setting, long-term care facility, or physician practice (beyond the one year minimum)
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training
- Completion of Basic Arrhythmia class with a passing grade on exam
