Job Summary
Provide basic nursing care to residents, including administering medications, wound care, and assisting with personal hygiene. Monitor vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse, reporting abnormalities to supervising staff. Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation and timely delivery while maintaining records of resident responses. Follow individualized care plans and infection control protocols, using personal protective equipment appropriately. Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and families to discuss care plans and address resident concerns. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and comply with facility policies and healthcare regulations. Act as an advocate for residents, promoting their dignity and emotional well-being in a compassionate manner.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited LPN or LVN program
- Current and active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Strong clinical and patient care skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work well as part of a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and nursing documentation
