Job Summary
Coordinate patient appointments, triage calls, and transport patients via wheelchairs. Administer medications, perform pre-examination tests, and maintain clinical inventory including AEDs and crash carts. Educate patients on health issues, process pharmacy prior authorizations, and conduct weekly chart audits. Delegate duties to MAs and CNAs as needed. Maintain stock and order laboratory supplies, document QI indicators in E-Clinical, and monitor infection control standards.
Required Qualifications
- Vocational / technical training in Nursing
- CPR Certified
- Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories
- Knowledge of clinical and/or surgical operations and documentation
- Skill in performing clinical and medical procedures
- Knowledge of patient evaluation and triage procedures
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control
- Ability to safely lift, and physically manipulate patients
- Ability to maintain calendars and schedule appointments
- Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements
- Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids
- Ability to educate patients and/or families as to the nature of disease and to provide instruction on proper care and treatment
- Ability to prepare and process laboratory samples using established protocols
- Ability to observe, assesses, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
- Successful candidate must submit to post offer, pre-employment physical examination/medical history check
