Job Summary
Assist the Resident Services Director with implementing and coordinating resident care services, including supervising C.N.A.s and RSA staff during care provision. Manage the medication program, support resident self-administration, and conduct clinical assessments per ALSA requirements. Maintain positive relations with residents, families, and physicians while reporting significant incidents to leadership. Support department hiring, performance management, and training new associates through orientation and mentoring. Participate in scheduled training programs and meetings to ensure compliance with safety procedures and emergency protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed to practice in the appropriate state(s)
- Basic first aid and CPR certification
- Physically able to bend and reach
- Physically able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. at times
- Physically able to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to transfer residents and use a Hoyer Lift and other medical equipment when needed
- Required to work weekends and holidays as assigned
- May be required to work on shifts other than the one for which hired
- May be required to work extended hours
- Subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and conditions
- Could be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents due to mental status
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in assisted living or long-term care setting preferred
- Experience and/or special interest working with seniors
