Job Summary
Provide nursing care to residents under the direction of a registered nurse; coordinate and supervise certified nursing assistants; administer prescribed medications and treatments; perform ROM exercises; assess residents' condition and report changes; maintain medical records; supervise dining and assist with feeding; respond to resident call lights; accompany physicians on rounds; participate in evaluations and care planning; may assume charge nurse responsibilities on designated shifts; role requires geriatric nursing experience and NYS licensure with CPR/BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Current registration in New York State
- LPN license/ certification
- CPR training (BLS or CPR certified for RNs)
Additional Requirements
- Must have the physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must submit to and pass required health screenings and in-services
