Licensed Practical Nurse, Lead-Stony Brook Children’s Service, UFPC

Under the general supervision of the lead Physician, provide clinical support and oversee clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care. Maintain standards of clinical practice, infection control, and administrative policies while certifying support staff annually in waive testing. Oversee daily quality controls, cleaning assignments, and medical supply levels, including medication room management and lab logs. Assess and evaluate staff performance, assign personnel to providers, and address provider concerns with counseling or disciplinary action as required. Monitor staff time, approve leave requests, and make recommendations to improve physician productivity. Collaborate with the Ambulatory Office Manager to ensure process consistency across practice locations and participate in leadership decision-making. Perform injections as ordered and provide patient and family teaching as needed.
