Job Summary
Deliver safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care to incarcerated patients with complex medical conditions, including tracheostomy care, enteral feeding, wound care, and chronic disease management. Monitor patient conditions, report changes appropriately, and maintain accurate clinical documentation while following established safety, security, and infection control protocols. Collaborate with medical, mental health, and custody teams under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical staff. Work 12-hour rotating day shifts (7am-7:30pm) with weekend coverage required in a structured environment supported by dedicated security personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license | Compact (MSL) or Georgia (SL) | Must be active and valid
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or BLS
- Ability to obtain security clearance via the GADOC, this may include drug screen and criminal background check
- Weekend Coverage: Weekends Required
- 2 years of experience in behavioral health, correctional, or ER
