Job Summary
Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting by assisting health care providers with examinations, treatments, and routine procedures. Obtain patient health history, laboratory specimens, and vital signs while administering TB skin tests and conducting lab tests to ensure results reach the correct physician. Coordinate patient transfers to medical facilities, administer medications, implement healthcare orders, and document all patient contacts using the POMR format. Review patient charts to report observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in conditions. Work 3pm to 11pm every other weekend and every other holiday.
Required Qualifications
- Current/Active state license as an LPN
- Current CPR certificate
- Proficient with electronic medical records
- Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include a background check and drug screen
