Job Summary
Provide nursing support within Richmond State Hospital, including administering medications, developing and implementing nursing care plans, monitoring individuals’ physical and psychosocial status from admission to discharge, ensuring safety and therapeutic engagement, documenting nursing notes and transfers, and educating patients and families about procedures and goals. Collaborate with clinical staff to prioritize daily care, coordinate workflow, respond to emergencies, maintain infection control standards, and support unit staff through orientation and ongoing training.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college
- License to practice nursing in the State of Indiana as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- CPR certification
- Able to stay current with behavioral intervention training
- Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
