Job Summary
Assess conditions of detainees at sick call, prescribe treatment per approved protocols, and administer medications while operating pill carts and controlling medical supplies. Perform emergency procedures, conduct chart reviews for serious health problems, and execute rescue functions during accidents or disasters. Maintain absolute security and confidentiality of medical records in compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy laws. Work rotating 3x12s including night shifts with a $2 differential, on an on-call basis. Full-time and PRN positions available at the Otero County Processing Facility in Chaparral, NM.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program
- current, valid practical nursing license for the state of New Mexico or compact state
- current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license in the state of New Mexico or Texas with an acceptable driving record
