Job Summary
Implement nursing care for assigned patients while assisting the RN in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of nursing care. Utilize advanced patient care skills following required education and training. Maintain current BLS/CPR certification and FL LPN licensure. Complete 30-hour IV certification and demonstrate basic computer application proficiency. Work full-time days with four 9 or 10-hour shifts and rotational Saturdays. Undergo background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse as part of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System's safety commitment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing
- Meet the educational requirements as outlined by the Florida Board of Nursing
- Thirty (30) hour IV certification
- Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications
- BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
- FL Licensed Practical Nurse license
- Background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
