Job Summary
Provide direct health services to up to 1,600 students through the campus clinic, managing triage, medication administration, and emergency care. Lead independent clinic operations while ensuring 100% immunization compliance and conducting state-mandated screenings for vision, hearing, spinal, and AN. Serve as a health advocate by notifying parents of incidents, coordinating with physicians, and collaborating on Individual Education Plans. Maintain accurate electronic records, manage clinic inventory, and report safety hazards to the Assistant Principal of Operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- LVN or LPN licensure
- Current certification in CPR/AED/ First Aid
- Certified by the state department of state health services to conduct vision, hearing, spinal, and AN screenings
- 2+ years' experience in a health-related position
- Knowledge of basic first aid and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Knowledge of Diabetic care management
- Proficient keyboarding and electronic file maintenance skills
- Ability to use laptop and software to develop and populate databases and do word processing
- Ability to track, enter, analyze, and monitor data
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and execute toward goals
- Maintain licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse
- Maintain certification in CPR/First Aid as well as certification as state-approved vision, hearing, spinal, and AN health screener
Desired Qualifications
- Certified by the state department of state health services to conduct vision, hearing, spinal, and AN screenings
- Experience with school-age children
- Experience maintaining electronic health records
