Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, including assisting with daily hygiene, bathing, and mobility while maintaining dignity and confidentiality. Administer professional services such as catheterization, tube feedings, and dressing changes, and perform routine lab tests and vital signs monitoring. Document all care provided, report changes in resident condition, and complete accident/incident reports as necessary. Oversee assigned personnel to ensure safety regulations are followed and review daily care plans to ensure appropriate rendering of services. Report occupational exposures and discrepancies in physician orders to supervisors immediately.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid professional license (LPN) that is in good standing with the State.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.
- Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within the Community.
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
- Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
- Must be able to perform the essential position functions of the job with, or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs: Constantly.
- Must be able to lift 11 to 25 lbs: Frequently.
- Must be able to lift 26 to 50 lbs: Occasionally.
- Must be able to lift over 50 lbs: Occasionally.
- Must be able to carry up to 10 lbs: Constantly.
- Must be able to carry 11 to 25 lbs: Occasionally.
- Must be able to carry 26 to 50 lbs: Rarely.
- Must be able to carry over 50 lbs: Not required.
- Must be able to reach above shoulder height: Frequently.
- Must be able to reach at shoulder height: Constantly.
- Must be able to reach below shoulder height: Constantly.
- Must be able to push/pull: Constantly.
- Must be able to grasp: Constantly.
- Must be able to handle: Constantly.
- Must be able to torque: Frequently.
- Must be able to finger: Constantly.
- Twisting, bending, crawling, squatting, kneeling, crouching, climbing and balancing is required.
- Must be able to operate an automobile and various games.
