Job Summary
Greet patients, escort them to exam rooms, and take vital signs while performing spirometry and allergy testing as ordered. Administer allergy injections, monitor for adverse reactions, and facilitate prescriptions per physician or nurse practitioner directives. Maintain clinical supplies, sterilize equipment, and complete accurate documentation in the electronic medical record. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide patient education on pharmaceuticals and support business goals. Follow standardized scribe workflows, obtain referrals and insurance authorizations, and manage biologics ordering and billing paperwork. Adhere to Allergy Partners policies, HIPAA guidelines, and complete required training programs including CPR and OSHA.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or GED
- Current, unencumbered license to practice in the state employed or compact state
- Minimum one year of work experience in a clinical setting
- Understanding of OSHA guidelines for ambulatory practices
- Ability to document in the electronic Medical Record
- Working knowledge of practice management and word processing software
- Normal visual acuity
- Normal hearing
- Full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity
- Eye-hand coordination
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds
