Job Summary
Greet patients, escort them to exam rooms, and take vital signs while performing spirometry, allergy testing, and injections as ordered. Prepare and sterilize supplies, maintain emergency equipment, and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Administer biologics, manage stock, and complete documentation in the electronic medical record. Facilitate prescriptions, obtain referrals, and follow triage protocols for phone assessments. Scribe for providers and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure patient comfort and safety.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or GED
- Current, unencumbered license to practice in the state employed or compact state
- Minimum one year of work experience in a clinical setting
- Understanding of OSHA guidelines for ambulatory practices
- Ability to document in the electronic Medical Record
- Working knowledge of practice management and word processing software
- Normal visual acuity
- Normal hearing
- Full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity
- Eye-hand coordination
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds
