Job Summary
Monitor patient reactions, vital signs, and progress while performing IV therapy, wound care, diabetes management, and catheter care for retired nuclear and federal workers. Educate families on disease processes and medications, assist with activities of daily living, and transport patients to appointments. Document skilled visits accurately by shift end, report adverse findings to the physician and RN, and coordinate care services to ensure optimal outcomes. Work under RN supervision in home settings with flexible 8-hour shifts, two days a week, at rates of $26-$36/hr.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current Florida LPN License
- Current BLS Certificate
- Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, to enable the employee to communicate effectively
- Sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodation, to enable the employee to review a wide variety of materials in electronic or hard copy form
- Sufficient manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodation, to enable the employee to operate a personal computer, telephone, and other related equipment
- Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodation, to enable the employee to safely lift, move, or maneuver whatever may be necessary to successfully perform the duties of their position
- Able to lift 50 pounds
