Licensed Practical Nurse

Perform physical examinations and establish medical histories to determine donor suitability at plasma donation centers. Build rapport with donors to ensure customer satisfaction while ensuring donor and staff confidentiality. Evaluate and manage donor injuries, administer Hepatitis vaccines, and assist in employee training. Provide donor education regarding general health and counseling on unacceptable test results. Perform evaluations of illness or medication history to ensure continued donor suitability. Work involves standing and sitting for up to four hours daily, with potential exposure to biological fluids, electrical equipment, and extreme cold below 32 degrees F. Requires current EMT, Paramedic, or LVN/LPN licensure and CPR certification.
