Job Summary
Triage patients by telephone or walk-in to determine care urgency, approve same-day visits, and assist with referrals to specialists. Administer immunizations and allergy shots, manage prescription requests, process laboratory results, and flag abnormal findings for provider review. Supervise medical assistants, assist physicians in procedures requiring nursing support, and ensure billing codes are correct. Complete administrative duties, including PT-1 forms, patient education, and quality assurance charting. Requires a Massachusetts LPN license, three years of ambulatory experience, and electronic medical records proficiency. Full-time role with a salary of $24.00-$28.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation of an accredited school of practical nursing
- Minimum of three years' experience in an ambulatory setting
- Electronic medical records experience
- Licensed as a practical nurse by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- CPR certification
