Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a Skilled Nursing Facility. Under the supervision of the RN Unit Manager or DON, the LPN/LVN performs as a licensed caregiver and coordinates, implements, and evaluates residents'/patients' plan of care. Adheres to standards of care, maintains resident safety, and supervises nursing assistants. Follows Center policies and procedures and complies with the State Nurse Practice Act. Responsibilities include providing nursing care, coordinating and evaluating residents'/patients' plan of care, ensuring safety, and supervising nursing assistants. Requires licensure as an LPN in the state, current CPR certification, ability to calculate drug dosages, reading/writing/speaking English, and basic computer skills. Required Qualifications
- Licensed in the State as an LPN
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Basic computer knowledge and aptitude to learn company applications
- Ability to calculate drug dosage
- Ability to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
- Meets health requirements imposed by law
- Ability to relate positively with residents, families, and staff
