Job Summary
Provide licensed care under RN Unit Manager or DON supervision, assuming full accountability for assigned residents or patients during shift duty. Coordinate, implement, and evaluate resident care plans while adhering to state Nurse Practice Act standards and center policies. Manage the care environment to maintain safety and supervise nursing assistants. Perform duties defined by the State Nurse Practice Act, including calculating drug dosages and using equipment like feeding pumps and medication carts. Maintain current CPR certification and meet all legal health requirements. Work in a home-friendly, progressive environment with a positive team culture.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in the State as an LPN
- Must have and maintain current CPR certification
- Able to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
- Able to calculate drug dosage
- Meets all health requirements imposed by law
- Able to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other center staff
- Able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Demonstrates basic computer knowledge
- Ability with an aptitude to learn company applications
