Job Summary
Deliver resident-centered nursing care under RN Unit Manager or DON supervision, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating resident plans of care while maintaining safety and supervising nursing assistants. Manage medication dosages, operate supplies like feeding pumps and oxygen equipment, and adhere to state Nurse Practice Act standards and center policies. Provide direct care to assigned residents across Hayward Health Services' skilled nursing and rehabilitation network, ensuring positive interactions with families and staff while following all required health and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in the State as an LPN
- Must have and maintain current CPR certification
- Able to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
- Able to calculate drug dosage
- Meets all health requirements imposed by law
- Able to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other center staff
- Able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Demonstrates basic computer knowledge
- Ability with an aptitude to learn company applications
