Job Summary
Coordinate, implement, and evaluate resident care plans under RN Unit Manager supervision while managing the environment to maintain patient safety. Supervise nursing assistants and adhere to state Nurse Practice Act standards and center policies. Calculate drug dosages, use necessary medical equipment, and communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff. Perform duties defined by the State Nurse Practice Act while maintaining CPR certification and meeting all health requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in the State as an LPN
- Must have and maintain current CPR certification
- Able to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
- Able to calculate drug dosage
- Meets all health requirements imposed by law
- Able to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other center staff
- Able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Demonstrates basic computer knowledge
- Ability with an aptitude to learn company applications
