Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsible for providing nursing care under the supervision of the RN Unit Manager or DON. Performs duties as defined by the State Nurse Practice Act, ensures resident safety, coordinates and evaluates the resident’s plan of care, and supervises nursing assistants. Requires active LPN licensure in-state and CPR certification; duties include medication administration, patient assessment, care planning, and adherence to center policies. Required Qualifications
- Licensed in the State as an LPN
- Current CPR certification
- Able to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
- Able to calculate drug dosage
- Meets all health requirements
- Ability to relate positively with residents, families, community members, volunteers and staff
- Able to read, write, speak and understand English; basic computer knowledge
