Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position providing nursing care for residents on all shifts under RN Unit Manager or DON supervision. Responsibilities include coordinating, implementing, and evaluating residents' plans of care; ensuring safety and quality of care; supervising nursing assistants; adhering to the State Nurse Practice Act and center policies; use of supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, medication cart); dosage calculations; maintaining CPR certification; positive interaction with residents, families, and staff; English literacy and basic computer use required. Eligible candidates must hold LPN licensure in the state and CPR certification; shift includes potential full-time or part-time hours with shift differential benefits available.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in the State as an LPN
- Must have and maintain current CPR certification
- Able to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
- Able to calculate drug dosage
- Meets all health requirements imposed by law
- Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other center staff
- Able to read, write, speak and understand English. Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications
