Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse in a correctional health setting providing inmate care under RN supervision. Responsibilities include assisting in inmate assessments, planning and implementing individualized treatment programs, administering medications (including IV therapy when certified), assisting with procedures and minor surgeries, obtaining specimens and performing EKGs, maintaining controlled substances and equipment, triaging healthcare requests, and ensuring HIPAA-compliant health-record handling. Requires graduation from an accredited LPN/LVN program, current licensure in the state, CPR/BLS, TB testing, and ability to pass background check and drug test. Schedule includes Friday 2:00-10p and Sat/Sun 6:00a-10:00p (40 hrs weekly) in Cheyenne, WY.”,
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited LPN/LVN program
- current licensure as an LPN/LVN within the state of employment
- CPR/BLS certification
- TB test within one year
