Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse or Registered Professional Nurse. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients and coordinate care with other departments while safeguarding patient rights and confidentiality. Obtain and maintain a current LPN license within the hiring state and complete required certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or BLS within specified timeframes. Perform duties involving lifting 50 lbs, prolonged standing, and physical movements including gripping, reaching, and squatting. Work full-time nights at Mercy South with access to medical, dental, vision coverage, paid time off, and tuition support.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Full-time employment
- Nights shift availability
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- LPN-IV Certification (must be previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri)
- Comparable education experience
- Successful licensure
