Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate care with other departments while safeguarding patient rights and confidentiality. Obtain and maintain a current LPN license within the hiring state, meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements. This full-time night shift role at Mercy South requires the ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs regularly, with prolonged standing and walking. Candidates must possess or complete certifications such as ACLS, PALS, BLS, and LPN-IV within specified timeframes. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Ability to stand and walk during each shift
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- LPN-IV Certification must be previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri
- Comparable education experience
- Successful licensure
