Job Summary
Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain PCR nasal swabs for pre-surgical patients, and assist in obtaining vital signs, lab specimens, and EKGs. Prepare specimens for the lab, support the Pre-Surgical Screening program, and foster efficient patient throughput while delivering excellent customer service. Assist physicians in treatments and procedures, demonstrate proficiency in cast removal and suture application, and maintain an organized professional environment. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including Registration, Radiology, and Physical Therapy.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
- Current NY State LPN license and registration
- BLS certification (American Heart)
