Job Summary
Provide resident care as an LPN under the Nursing Supervisor, with potential to act as Charge Nurse. Responsibilities include initiating resident assessments within 7 days of admission, supervising Geriatric Nursing Assistants and Certified Medicine Aide, checking charts and medication orders, coordinating staffing and unit records, discharge/transfer planning, administering or supervising care per policies, enforcing isolation/universal precautions, maintaining HIPAA compliance, and participating in restorative and rehabilitative programs. Requires completion of a 1-year LPN program and Maryland licensure; previous geriatric and supervisory experience preferred. Shift is weekdays 7am-3pm, with every other weekend; pay range $36-$43 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a 1-year Licensed Practical Nurse course
- Currently registered to practice nursing in Maryland
- Previous experience with geriatric patients is desirable
- Experience in a supervisory capacity is preferred
- Must have a reliable attendance record
