Licensed Practical Nurse - Float Pool

Job Summary
Conduct daily patient care in the float pool by administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting physicians with examinations and minor procedures. Perform specialized nursing tasks such as IV therapy if certified, while ensuring strict adherence to infection control, medication safety checks, and emergency protocols. Maintain accurate medical records, educate patients on preventive health measures, and coordinate activities for nursing assistants and receptionists as assigned. This role requires a Colorado-licensed Practical Nurse with at least 400 clinical hours and demonstrates commitment to Kaiser Permanente's quality and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program
- Licensed as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Colorado
- Completed a minimum of 400 clock hours of faculty planned clinical experience and guided learning activities which required direct supervision by faculty, associate nursing instructional personnel (ANIP) or preceptor who is physically present or immediately accessible
- High School Diploma OR General Education Diploma (GED)
- Practical Nurse License (Colorado)
- Demonstrated customer service focus
- Exemplary service skills
Desired Qualifications
- Six (6) months of experience with adults, pediatrics and/or trauma
- I.V. therapy certification
- BLS
