Job Summary
Check vital signs, record medical history, and perform phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, and EKGs as assigned. Administer medications, including injections and vaccinations, while assisting with patient flow between exam rooms and treatment areas. Obtain prescription renewals and ensure charts are available for physicians. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to maintain patient-centered quality programs and enforce HIPAA and NYULH policies. Document all patient care tasks and participate in annual competency training for fire safety and hazardous waste. Serve as a brand ambassador by greeting patients warmly, applying the LEARN model for service recovery, and sharing ideas to optimize provider schedules and minimize delays.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of LPN program
- Current NYS OP LPN licensure and registration
- Ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently
- Physical stamina
- Manual dexterity
- Visual and aural acuity
- LPN license
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Desired Qualifications
- BLS certification
