Job Summary
Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting, assisting health care providers with examinations, treatments, and routine procedures. Obtain patient health history, laboratory specimens, and vital signs while administering TB skin tests and conducting lab tests. Ensure patients receive proper care for injuries or conditions by reviewing charts, reporting observed symptoms, and coordinating transfers to medical facilities. Administer medications, implement healthcare practitioners' orders, and document all patient contacts using the POMR format. Shifts run Saturday and Sunday evenings from 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Current/Active state license as an LPN
- Current CPR certificate
- Proficient with electronic medical records
- Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include a background check and drug screen
