Job Summary
Provide nursing care to patients and significant others via direct and/or telephone contact, coordinate with the care team for seamless delivery, and assist physicians with clinical procedures and patient teaching. Direct clerical assistants and medical assistants, obtain and complete prior authorizations for medications and tests, maintain inventory logs for refrigerators, oxygen, and vaccines, and administer medication while educating patients on usage. Work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm with one Saturday every other month, in Lake Success, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program
- New York State (NYS) license with current NYS registration, in good standing
Desired Qualifications
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- 1+ years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- 2+ years of experience as a medical assistant
- EPIC EMR experience
