Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role in Elizabethtown, NC. Responsibilities include assisting in direction of nursing services on the unit, delegating duties under RN supervision, observing patients for signs of adverse change, notifying physicians of emergencies, implementing changes in orders, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires an LPN license from the NC Board, a high school diploma, CPR certification, and willingness to work as charge nurse and during emergencies to ensure coverage. Emphasis on geriatric nursing, following physicians’ orders, and providing quality nursing care.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing
- Willing to work as charge nurses and as needed during emergencies
- Ability to provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctors’ orders, and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing
- CPR certified yearly
- Attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required
- Background checks/drug-free workplace
